***********************How it all Started**************************************

I was inspired by the wonderful talents of KatWise and her amazing recycled sweater coats that I had to make one for my niece on her 8th birthday..... and well I became addicted! working with sweaters as a medium has been tons of fun! I fall asleep thinking of sweaters! yes! the bug has settled in nice and cozy in crafty corner of my mind! I am blessed to have stumbled across her site and to have been inspired so much by her work... it has brought my mind out of a dark freeze I have been in since loosing my grandma and Mom in less then a year. Hopefully there will be new stuff up all the time - so check back often!

Check out the Crazy Caps while you are visiting my shop. Putting all the left over sweater scraps to good use!

When it comes to sewing I really like to recycle used clothing into new creations! Over the years many unique things have been created, it is always an adventure to see what comes next!

I collect sweaters and other materials from all over town, free piles, garage sales and thrift stores, many have been kind to donate sweaters to me as well... all comes home and is machine washed and dried on the hottest cycle to get most shrink out of the way before creating these artistic garments.

I have tons of fun cutting and sewing creations together, they all turn out different and are so magical to watch them come together! I am a mother to 5 wonderful kids who keep me super busy, living in a cozy house surrounded by nature nestled up against 400 acres of national forest.. romping in the woods and tending to my gardens.

I like to offer a different angle on the market of recycled sweater wear - keeping my items a bit more simple and much more affordable to the average person... resisting putting to much work into anyone item on extra embellishments... I use my professional serger to serge all seams and hand finish the ends.. one serged seam is strong and holds up to mighty tugs and pulls and there is really no reason other then adding extra contrast from thread color to serge a seam more then once.

Please check out my feedback, everyone has been super happy with their coats and other purchases, and it will help to put your mind at ease that I create quality garments!

Many thanks!

Find me on Facebook to get sneak peeks of items as they are finished!

How fun is that!!!
